The Home Dashboard

Audience: All client users · Where: the Canima portal home (/), opens right after you sign in.

Overview

The Dashboard is your organization's security "at a glance" screen. It rolls up every assessment, scan, finding, and asset in your organization into a single set of summary cards, so you can see your current risk posture without opening individual reports. It is read-only — nothing here changes your data; it's a live snapshot that updates as new scans and findings come in.

You reach it by clicking the Dashboard icon (top of the left sidebar) from anywhere in the portal, or by clicking the Canima logo.

Who can see it

Every signed-in member of your organization sees the Dashboard. The numbers shown are scoped to the assessments and assets you have access to — a member with limited grants may see smaller totals than an owner or manager who can see the whole organization.

What each card shows

  •   Active Scans

    How many scans are running right now. When idle, it reads "All scans idle." Start a new scan from the Assessments view.

  •   Report Pipeline

    The status of your deliverable reports across four stages: Draft → In Review → Approved → Published. The percentages show how your reports are distributed across those stages.

  •   Open Findings

    The count of findings that still need to be fixed, plus Awaiting Retest (fixes you've submitted that are waiting for a tester to re-verify). The Findings by Severity donut breaks the open total down into Critical / High / Medium / Low. Click View more → to jump straight to the full Findings list.

  •   Vulnerability Trends

    A line chart of findings discovered over time, by severity. Use the filter chips to switch scope (All / External / Web App / Internal) and the time range (3mo / 6mo / 12mo). "Latest month" calls out the most recent count and its change vs. the prior period.

  •   Risk and Compliance

    Findings that have been open longer than an SLA-style threshold, so aging issues surface: Critical open > 7 days, High > 15 days, Medium > 45 days, Low > 90 days, plus High Risk Open (any open finding with CVSS ≥ 7.0). These are the items most worth prioritizing.

  •   Top Risk Assets — Across Org

    Your highest-risk assets ranked by a computed risk score, with the finding severity mix per asset and the license type (Internal / External / Web App) that covers it. Click View all assets → to open the Asset Library.

  •   Breach Exposure

    Credentials belonging to your organization that have appeared in known third-party data breaches, split into employee vs. consumer accounts, with the exposed accounts and the date of the most recent breach. (Populated when your organization has external/attack-surface monitoring enabled.)

  •   Recent Activity

    The latest assessments and scans and their outcome status (e.g. Completed, Completed With Warnings), newest first. Click an entry to open that assessment.

  •   Scan Schedules

    Any recurring scans you've scheduled. Reads "No active schedules" when none are set. Click View scheduled → to manage them.

Tips

Tip

  • The Dashboard reflects your whole organization, not a single project. To drill into one engagement, use Assessments in the sidebar.
  • If a card shows lower numbers than you expect, check your access level — members only see the assessments and assets they've been granted.
